IRIS, Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology, has compiled some good resources for teaching about the science of the earthquake in Haiti and earthquakes in general. Included in their list are videos, slideshows, and links to lesson plans. The videos are animated and narrated explanations of the science of earthquakes. All of the videos can be viewed on YouTube or downloaded as a Quicktime file. You can see a sample of these videos below.Applications for Education
