Buffalo Bill Cody is one of the most iconic figures of the American West. American Experience, produced by PBS, has an excellent one hour program about Buffalo Bill. You can view the entire program for free on the PBS video website. In true PBS form, there are some excellent lesson plans for teachers to use in conjunction with the video. To provide student with context of where Buffalo Bill Cody fits in with the history of the American West, check out the American Frontiers interactive timeline.What prompted me to share this resource (which I used in class last year) about Buffalo Bill Cody is this document from the National Archives that appeared last week in their daily document RSS feed.
